- it maintains high final strength at both high and low temperatures (-40 to +80 °C)
- curing can be achieved at both low and high temperatures
- the cured adhesive layer is hard yet not brittle
Applications:
-TEROSON EP 5065 is primarily used in automotive repairs for structural bonding of metals where high crash performance requirements must be met (e.g., automotive steel body structures with or without e-coat, galvanised steel and aluminium)
- treated surfaces are protected from corrosion
- curing can occur at room temperature or can be accelerated using an infrared heater, for example
- the bonded assembly must be designed so that only tensile or shear forces, but not peel forces, are applied to the bonded surface or joints
- it is recommended that bonding is performed using single lap joints
- uncured adhesive can be spot welded
